Meet Dr. Frazer Smith

First Chiropractic Experience

Frazer Smith

Frazer Smith

Dr. Frazer first experienced chiropractic at the age of eight when several attempts at tubes had failed in resolving his chronic ear problems. After a short period of treatments his ear problems began to improve. Following this, Dr. Frazer’s entire family started to utilize chiropractic for supporting an active and healthy lifestyle. They were all very happy when he decided to become the family’s first chiropractor!

Helping you Regain Your Health

This early experience taught Dr. Frazer the value that chiropractic has in helping to restore and maintain overall health. Although he works with athletes (some even Olympians!) his true passion is to promote family health and optimal function. Dr. Frazer says, “Nothing is more rewarding as helping someone regain their health. I am truly blessed to aid people in their healing process every day.”

Chiropractic Education

Dr. Frazer was born in Toronto but primarily raised in the town of Lakefield, Ontario. After he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University, he pursued his chiropractic education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1997.

Upon graduating, Dr. Frazer looked to set up in a cottage community. He was attracted to Smiths Falls by the local waterways and proximity to outdoor activities. “It felt like where I grew up in the Kawartha Lakes.”

Away from Smiths Falls Family Chiropractic

Dr. Frazer engages in a variety of outdoor activities that have included competitive waterskiing, downhill and x-country skiing, hockey, golf, swimming, kayaking, cycling, and squash. He thanks his lucky stars that he met his wife Nancy Sweetnam, an Olympic Swimmer who keeps him in competitive form. Together, Nancy and Frazer have two beautiful children, Oscar and Cleopatra.

Associations, Members and Clubs

During the past 24 years, Dr. Frazer has served within the local community in many capacities including board member roles in the Smiths Falls Curling and Squash Club, Smiths Falls Community Theatre, and is past president of the Rotary Club of Smiths Falls.

Dr. Frazer has served six years as an elected board member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the professional regulatory body. He was involved in many aspects such as quality assurance, registration, government relations, and national and provincial professional issues management.  He was a college peer assessor for 15 years and continues to serve the college by chairing pre-hearing conferences (adr) for discipline referrals.  Dr. Frazer continues to serve the profession as an educator, speaker and coach/mentor.
