Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is a diagnostic system employed by chiropractors, physical therapists, dentists, and traditional physicians. It considers factors affecting the Triad of Health: Chemical, Mental, and Structural, in order to balance the major health categories. Applied Kinesiology is best known for the procedure of muscle testing it employs to augment examination procedures, and to assess the effects of different stressors on the nervous system.

Treatments to correct these stressors may involve adjustments (manual and instrument assisted, to best serve the patient), various reflex procedures, various myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture skills, counseling skills, clinical nutrition, dietary management, and evaluating environmental irritants.
